A Floridian who contracted SARS abroad has infected a coworker, the state department of health said Wednesday, marking the first time the disease may have been spread to someone other than a household member or health care worker. The first case in this country perhaps, but I believe there have already been several cases of this in Asia.

"A spokeswoman for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta told CNN the organization was not aware of any spread of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome in the United States among coworkers."
Or perhaps this is yet another attempt by the liberal left media to create fear among the paranoid leftists in America? They did it with global warming, an automatic $60,000 tax hike (that would have benefited the U.N. and the liberal left communists) on every house hold in America IF President Bush had not unsigned us from the disastourous Kyota treaty; they tried to steal the election from President Bush; they did it with overcoverage of the shark attacks a few years back which turned out to be a blatant lie, they yelled doom and gloom about every one of President Bush's successful undertakings since he came to office and they will continue their propaganda campaign of unwise American's as long as American's vote democrat. I don't even read or listen to liberal journalists and reporters anymore; you can tell they are lying when their lips are moving.

So much for the cockroach theory codswallop.... Actually, no. No one has claimed that cockroaches are the only way the disease spreads.
At least one of the accounts of the cockroach theory has gone into more detail: the cockroaches, it is hypothesized, spread contaminated feces (in Amoy Gardens in Hong Kong, from one apartment to adjoining apartments). The suspect virus has been found in victims' feces. Coworkers could be exposed to contaminated feces in workplace bathrooms.
